About Us

Designer: Verybusymonkey

I’ve been crafting most of my life but really began focusing on knitting in 2006, and began designing in 2008. When I’m not knitting, I teach university students about primates, play with my horses, and snuggle with my “executive assistant”.

You can find me on Ravelry and Craftsy as Verybusymonkey.

Executive Assistant: Joseph

Chief responsibilties include snuggling, holding down furniture and covertly monitoring activity on bird feeder.

Hi i want to thank you for the fingerless mitts on Ravelry as I’m using your pattern to make mens and the ladies but have added stitches to make a fold over top as they will be used for the Homeless here in Queensland

Hi! I saw your pattern for the Coriolis Shawl on Ravelry and can’t wait for it to become available – I’d also be interested in test knitting (if you need any more volunteers). Kindest regards, Kati (aka seren29 on Ravelry)

I love your designs and am having difficulty deciding which one to tackle first. Keep designing and publishing!

  5. We are a knit store in Michigan and would love to sell your patterns. Do you sell wholesale?

I just started the metalurgy shawl and am concerned with the gauge. I have #6 needles. Madeline tosh sock yarn and my gauge is 7 stitches per inch and 7 rows per inch not the gauge you give of 4sts By 4 rows per inch as stated in the pattern. What is the correct gauge ? I feel I should be using worsted weight yarn not sock.
    Thank you

  7. So glad that I found your designs on Ravelry! Your shawls are really art works! I can’t wait to begin one of your designs and work my way through the designs!
